SW Barrows/SW Roshak Roundabout

Project
Mackenzie provided comprehensive transportation engineering design services for the Village at Scholls retail project on the north side of Barrows Road in 2008. Guided by the preparation of detailed traffic operations and safety analyses, close coordination with Beaverton staff, and intense debate at a series of public hearings, a roundabout installation was ultimately accepted as an effective mitigation tool for this intersection. The intersection consists of a major suburban collector intersecting with a residential arterial and retail site entrance. There is one circulating lane and truck...Learn more

Ronler Drive

Project
As a result of the Ronler Acres D1X project, Intel was conditioned to provide mitigation for the project’s transportation impacts by providing a City/public collector roadway connecting 229th to Cornelius Pass Road. The completed 2,100 LF, three-lane roadway includes signals both at NW 229th under City jurisdiction and at NW Cornelius Pass Road under Washington County jurisdiction. The concrete road widens out to 4 lanes at the intersections.. Cornelius Pass Road required a deceleration lane as it approached Ronler Drive. All the work within Cornelius Pass Road was permitted separately...Learn more

Wings & Waves Waterpark

Project
This innovative, one-of-a-kind indoor water park is the latest addition to the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum complex, a regional recreational and educational destination. The 70,000 SF water park features pools, waterslides, a wave pool, and interactive exhibits to teach visitors about relevant science concepts, such as velocity and buoyancy. The facility’s centerpiece is a Boeing 747 airliner mounted above the water park roof that serves as the starting point for the four waterslides. The project demanded an integrated approach spanning architecture, engineering, aquatic facilities...Learn more
