Located at the convergence of two neighborhoods and along one of Portland’s busiest corridors, the renovation and expansion of the Stadium Fred Meyer Retail Store on West Burnside represents an urban response to both community and context. The new design balances the programmatic needs of the client, the ethos of the neighborhoods, and the guidance of the Portland Design Commission. Mackenzie has been a regional corporate architect for 24 Hour Fitness since early 1999. In that time, the firm has been engaged in the design of more than 60 new or remodeled facilities in Oregon, Washington, California, Nevada, Colorado, and Hawaii.
