Mackenzie is working with Safeway, Inc. , on implementation of Safeway's new "Lifestyle" format upgrade to stores across the West Coast. The format upgrade is an element of the retail corporation's "Ingredients for life" rebranding campaign. Mackenzie projects include occupied remodels; expansions; and new construction replacements of existing stores, primarily in Washington, Alaska, and Northern California, for stores ranging in size from 26,000 to 85,000 SF. Stadium Fred Meyer Store Remodel & Expansion

Located at the convergence of two neighborhoods and along one of Portland’s busiest corridors, the renovation and expansion of the Stadium Fred Meyer Retail Store on West Burnside represents an urban response to both community and context. The new design balances the programmatic needs of the client, the ethos of the neighborhoods, and the guidance of the Portland Design Commission. Mackenzie has been working with Kroger NW and Fred Meyer for a number of years in the rollout of new stores, new merchandising, décor and energy strategies and the implementation of new features into existing stores.
