Rivergate Corporate Center is a multi-phase project for which Mackenzie has provided ongoing planning, design, and engineering services. Planning work included coordination and applications with the Port of Portland and City of Portland. Working within a design-build team, Mackenzie provided comprehensive A/E services for this build-to-suit facility for Morgan Distributing, a provider of beverage products to northern and central Oregon. The 100,100 SF building shell houses a range of uses, including corporate offices, conditioned storage, retail sales, visitor hospitality space and a beverage tasting. This project relocated a large commercial laundry service for hospitals in the Seattle/Puget Sound metro area. Mackenzie’s scope began with completion of a due diligence study, concept plan, and site test fits for five sites in Renton, Kent, and Auburn, Washington. The DoveLewis Emergency and ICU animal hospital is the only 24-hour non-profit emergency animal hospital located in the northwest region of the United States. The two-story, 22,000 SF building on a 0.75-acre site is located in Northwest Portland. The facility includes a reception/waiting room, eight exam rooms, an emergency room, an intensive care unit, a blood bank, and X-ray and radiology services. Clackamas County needed to consolidate government functions to more efficiently and effectively provide a full range of services to its citizens. Together, the Mackenzie/ Hoffman Construction design-build team was chosen to provide design services for a new administrative facility, along with associated improvements on the 6.5-acre site.
