Mackenzie provided architecture and engineering services for this maintenance facility located on 7.3 acres in Spokane Valley, Washington. The 22,700 SF pre-fabricated steel building includes 9,300 SF of office space across two stories and 13,400 SF of maintenance/wash bays.
The project received LEED Gold certification in 2009. Contributing to a LEED credit for heat island reduction, truck parking is entirely of concrete, which will be more durable and reflect light. In addition, stormwater on the site is contained and treated through on-site bioswales, detention ponds, and dry wells.
