As a planner at Mackenzie, Mark Person assists clients and coworkers with development feasibility, research, code compliance, and graphic support. He relishes tracking down difficult-to-find code criteria, collaborating with his coworkers, meeting with clients, and working with city, county and regional planners. His work before coming to Mackenzie includes residential land use planning in Oregon and Washington and a case study that assessed ADA paratransit eligibility using human service workers in Lane County, Oregon. As a newer Mackenzie employee, Mark is still finding his non-project role, but is unofficially the bicycle commute coordinator and sustainability chair for Mackenzie's Vancouver office. He can be found biking to and from the office and compulsively turning off conference room lights.
"Great design is achieved when a client's vision intersects with community values. Here at Mackenzie, we strive to find this intersection."
