Lydia Fleming has 25 years of experience in the A/E/C industry. She began as a project administrator for a project management consultant, then moved into construction scheduling for that firm. She eventually worked her way into a marketing coordinator position at a large Portland construction company after volunteering to help on a proposal. Since then, she has worked for a mechanical contractor, a water/wastewater engineering firm, and, now, Mackenzie. She considers herself to be a proposal junkie who thrives on the creative process and on deadline-driven work. She has been involved in more than 500 proposals over her career and has only missed one deadline in 16 years—due to a traffic snarl.
