Oregon Food Bank
This project, a prime example of Mackenzie’s multidisciplinary approach and experience, is a 90,000 SF headquarters and distribution facility in northeast Portland. Highlights of the new facility include a 12,500 SF freezer and cooler, 18 loading docks serving both agency and commercial vehicles, specially designed rooms for food sorting and packaging, a demonstration kitchen supporting nutrition education classes, and a community room serving local nonprofit agencies. The facility also features 20,000 SF of office space. The project’s design utilizes high-efficiency glazing and insulation measures to reduce energy consumption and features natural daylighting of the open office environment.
